At Cambrian Fresh, our entire range of meat is sourced from farms that we know only use the most natural systems for fertilising their soils.
After all, healthy soils produce healthy plants which are eaten by sheep, cattle, deer to produce healthier meats.
All of our beef is sourced from Cambrian’s own farm near Waihi and butchered by our team, our lamb is from Pukeake in Wanganui, our pork is supplied by Freedom Farms, Chicken is from Chik-Corn in Palmerston North, Venison is from Fallowfields, Silverdale, Duck is supplied by Gameford Lodge, raised in Te Aroha and our Organic Salmon is from Ormond, Christchurch. |

How do we produce the best organic beef – consistently?

At Cambrian, our main philosophy is ‘We are what we eat’ – and this applies to every level of the food chain: plants, animals and us.
The pasture that sheep and cattle are raised on is a direct result of the nutrients available to it. We gently create a natural balance in our soils and pasture by adding only natural, un-concentrated minerals. The end result is a product that has better taste and better quality than anything you will find in your supermarket or butcher.
Our beef has 63% less total fat and has 67% less saturated fat than typical beef found in New Zealand. But that’s not all! Our beef has less ‘bad’ fat, and has more ‘good’ fat: it has 107% more Omega 3 content than other beef. This is more than 3 times the amount present in fish promoted high in Omega 3!
